Refund policy
REVORA — RETURNS & REFUND POLICY
At Revora, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Returns & Refund Policy explains when products may be returned, exchanged or refunded.
This policy applies to purchases made through the Revora online store and is intended to operate in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"), and other applicable South African laws. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any consumer right that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
1. CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS
Where applicable to an online transaction, you may have a statutory right to cancel your transaction without giving a reason within the applicable cooling-off period prescribed by South African law.
For electronic transactions, ECTA generally provides a 7-day cooling-off period for qualifying transactions, subject to the Act's exceptions.
Where a valid cooling-off cancellation applies:
- The product must be returned in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
- The product should be returned with its original packaging, accessories and components where reasonably possible.
- The customer may be responsible for return costs where permitted by law.
- Revora will process any refund required by law within the applicable statutory period.
Important: The statutory cooling-off right does not apply to every type of transaction or circumstance. We will assess each request according to the applicable legislation.
2. DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED OR FAULTY PRODUCTS
If your Revora car inflator is defective, unsafe, does not perform as reasonably expected, or fails to comply with applicable consumer-law requirements, please contact us as soon as possible.
South African consumer law provides protections for defective or unsuitable goods, including an implied warranty framework under the CPA. The CPA provides a six-month implied warranty for goods, subject to the circumstances and requirements of the Act.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to:
- Repair;
- Replacement; or
- Refund.
We may ask you to provide reasonable information about the problem, such as:
- Your order number;
- Photos or video showing the problem;
- A description of the fault; and
- The product itself for inspection where reasonably necessary.
We will not use this inspection process to remove or reduce any statutory consumer rights.
3. PRODUCTS DAMAGED THROUGH MISUSE
Revora is not responsible for damage caused by circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect or other issue for which Revora is legally responsible.
Examples may include damage caused by:
- Incorrect use;
- Failure to follow the supplied instructions;
- Physical damage;
- Modification or alteration of the product;
- Attempted repairs by an unauthorised person;
- Using the product for a purpose for which it was not designed; or
- Normal wear and tear.
However, nothing in this section removes any rights you may have under the CPA or other applicable law.
4. INCORRECT OR MISSING ITEMS
If you receive the wrong product or an item is missing from your order, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your:
Order number + photos of the package and product received.
We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, missing item or refund.
5. CHANGE-OF-MIND AFTER THE APPLICABLE COOLING-OFF PERIOD
Outside any statutory cooling-off right, Revora does not guarantee refunds for simple change-of-mind returns unless we expressly offer such a return option.
This means that if you simply decide that you no longer want the product after the applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, Revora may decline the return.
This does not affect your statutory rights regarding defective, unsafe, unsuitable or otherwise non-compliant goods.
6. RETURN CONDITION
Where a return is permitted, customers should return the product:
- With all supplied accessories;
- With the original packaging where reasonably possible;
- In a condition that allows Revora to assess the product; and
- With proof of purchase.
A failure to retain original packaging will not automatically remove a consumer's statutory rights where the law provides otherwise.
7. RETURN PROCESS
To request a return, contact:
Email: info.revora.co.za@gmail.com
Please include:
Full name:
Order number:
Date of purchase:
Reason for return:
Photos/video where applicable:
Do not send a product back without first contacting Revora, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We will provide reasonable instructions regarding the return process.
8. REFUNDS
Where a refund is approved or legally required, the refund will generally be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Refund processing times may depend on:
- The payment provider;
- The customer's bank;
- The return of the product where required; and
- Any inspection reasonably necessary to determine the nature of the problem.
Revora will comply with any refund deadlines imposed by applicable South African law.
9. SHIPPING AND RETURN COSTS
Shipping and return costs will be handled according to the circumstances of the return and applicable South African law.
Where the law requires Revora to bear reasonable return costs, Revora will do so.
Where the customer simply changes their mind and the law permits the customer to bear return costs, the customer may be responsible for those costs.
10. PRODUCTS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please take photographs of the packaging and product before disposing of any packaging material and contact us promptly.
We will investigate the matter and assist with an appropriate remedy where Revora or its delivery arrangements are responsible.
11. NO UNLAWFUL EXCLUSION OF CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in this policy is intended to:
- Exclude rights granted to consumers by South African law;
- Remove a statutory warranty;
- Prevent a customer from exercising a lawful cancellation right;
- Exclude liability where the law does not permit such exclusion; or
- Prevent a customer from pursuing a lawful complaint or remedy.
If any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of South African law, the applicable law will prevail.
12. FRAUDULENT OR ABUSIVE CLAIMS
Revora reserves the right to investigate suspicious, fraudulent or abusive return and refund requests.
This may include situations involving:
- False claims;
- Evidence that has been intentionally altered;
- Products returned that are materially different from those supplied;
- Repeated abusive refund requests; or
- Attempts to obtain refunds for products that were not purchased from Revora.
Any action taken by Revora will remain subject to applicable consumer-protection law.
